Beta 7 has now been released. New features in this release are:

• CD-style skins are now supported! Set your skin to cd4-1.skn and take a look!
• Rudimentary support for MIDI and MIDI-Karaoke (.MID and .KAR) files. The files will play, but time, title and album information are not properly extracted yet.
• Added BTN_NEXTALPHA and BTN_PREVALPHA buttons. These buttons will change to the first page of the next (or previous) letter of the alphabet for the first letter in the artist’s name.
• Added a ScreenSaverCancelTimeout setting, which will set the number of minutes the screen saver will run, after which it will automatically deactivate and return to the GUI. This will allow the juke to flip back and forth between the interface and the screensaver.
• Added a BTN_CLEARQUEUE button, which erases the entire queue, returning unused credits.

In other news, thanks to your donations, I have been able to purchase a touchsreen monitor to test some of the problems that have been reported with touchscreens. Right now, touchscreens only work with Windows XP; I should have it working for other versions of Windows soon. Mice may or may not work in Windows 98; if your mouse doesn’t work at all, download this version of alleg41.dll and copy it over the version in your jukebox folder.

Please note that changes have been made to the structure of jukebox.ini as of beta 6, and some skin objects and support files have been renamed. If you are upgrading from a version earlier than beta 6, you will need to unzip the entire archive rather than just replacing the executable files. The format of controls.ini has not changed, so you do not have to reconfigure all of your controls again.
