If you come up with anything clever, I'd sure like to hear about it or see it, if possible.

I keep playing around trying to add things like marching light strings, a moving caption, etc..., but I keep running into the issue that every time a picture is posted there is a certain amount of interruption in that process, leading things to not look as clean as you'd like.  That's not too limiting when only the label is spinning and the rest of the picture is identical to the other five or seven.  But the more changes involved from animation frame to animation frame, the more likely something is going to be flickering in a bad way.

I'm considering trying to add an animation, or at least a series of .jpg images like a slideshow, of a jukebox selecting the record and beginning to play, instead of the turntable spinning.  I'd go back to the user's pic1.jpg once the music starts but show this during the time from the last record ending to the next record starting.

I don't think it will go well, because of the issue of the 'glitchiness' of video the first time a new .jpg is loaded.  But, hey, it's something to play around with.

Here's are some good candidates:

I've come to the conclusion that I like AMI jukeboxes the best.   Especially the ones that slide the turntable to the record, like this one:

Bravo! You have got a amazing challenge!... the one of putting animated devices as videos on DW Jukebox! On my side, I have tried to put a Wurlitzer styled jukebox mechanism animation on a DWJukebox skin one year ago and I haven't found the right trick to put this on my skin yet! The skin is all functional except the animation! The animation should be synchronous to the DW Jukebox playing i-e searching, installing the record on the turntable, the tone arm goes on the record while the record turning until the tune ends and the cycle is redone in reverse until the record unloaded and replaced on the carousel. That's a simple animation with transparency. But I don't think that DW Jukebox will accept Flash, animations and transparency at this time! I want your know how to get some experience in that field!
